2-5-2007

On the morning of February 5th, 2007, the PVVFD responded to a reported structure fire in the Coopertown community.

First-arriving crews reported heavy smoke and fire showing.  Three occupants of the home sustained serious injury, and were transported to Vanderbilt's Burn Unit in Nashville.

A neighbor was able to rescue the occupants from the home prior to arrival of fire units.

The cause of the fire was determined to be a kerosene heater located in the kitchen.

The balloon-frame home, which did not have a residential sprinkler system, sustained damage throughout.

In addition to Pleasant View, units from White House Community VFD and Ashland City Fire Department responded to the scene.
