On Saturday, May
26th, the PVVFD hosted 9 members of the 2007-01 "Booter"
recruit class and their families for their graduation
ceremony.
The class, which
consists of over 200 hands-on and classroom hours, is
4-1/2 months in duration. During this time, the "booters"
are exposed to a wide variety of fire and emergency
services training, preparing them for their state
Firefighter I certification.
Captain Trey Nelms,
who also serves as the PVVFD Training Officer,
coordinates the program.
