The
Department's Fire Sprinkler Demonstration Trailer has
been used across the state and in various parts of the
nation to educate others on the benefit of fire
sprinklers. As depicted above, plexi-glass panels
on either side of the burn room allow viewers to witness
the fire grow from ignition to a point where the
sprinkler head will activate, extinguishing the fire.
Digital displays indicate floor and ceiling
temperatures.
The rear
portion of the trailer, as shown below, contains
training props for a commercial wet-pipe riser,
commercial dry-pipe riser, and a residential riser.
Also included is a fire alarm panel. These tools
are used to train both the public and fire department
response personnel on the equipment. |
