2007 Whistle
Stop Tour
Pleasant View FD participated in the 2007 Whistle Stop
Tour. The event was held at the Lowes Store in
Franklin, Tennessee. This was a nationwide tour to
bring focus on firefighter safety and remember all the
firefighters who paid the ultimate sacrifice. This was
part of the Everyone Goes Home campaign. The bus in the
pictures had the name of ever firefighter that had lost
his/her life in the line of duty and several of the
speakers were survivors of these brave firefighters.
This was a good reminder that we allow too many
firefighters to die every year.
Pleasant View and Ashland City fire departments had a
great turn out for the event. We had more equipment and
people than any other department in the area. Thanks to
all that made this possible. |
